Jessica I want to wish you a happy 21st Birthday! I also wanted to Thank You for stopping by the Durham VA today...I was so thrilled to talk with you briefly and shake your hand. I as a Female Veteran am so PROUD of you, you are very brave! I thank you for serving and having the courage to write your book and heal from your experience. I will be buying your book. I wanted to take a moment and tell you to be strong...your friend Lori is looking down at you smiling and watching over you I know she is very proud of you too! Its not easy to lose a best friend especially so tragically, but time will pass and you will have her in your heart forever. Meeting you today at the VA made my day I could not wait to get home and call my Mom and tell her about your visit...She was so touched she was in tears. Your visit will never be forgotten. Your such a tiny young lady but I can tell that your Heart is HUGE. I spoke with your parents briefly and they were very nice people, I can tell they love you so much....Jessica I wish you all the blessings, keep working at getting stronger you will be there soon...And if marriage is still in your near future, I wish you two nothing but the best.
God Bless You Jessica, Much Love, a fellow-female Vet....Dana Shipman.
