On a more serious note, stay away from names like that lend themselves readily to common abbreviations like Robert, William, or David. Whatever you do, say the name you choose out loud. You don't want a girl to be Polly Esther, or a boy to be Forest Sherwood. It should sound good with your last name, too. Zelda might be a bad choice, but Stephen might sound better. Try to make them so initials don't spell something silly, DOG or CAT.

I'm partial to Lane for a boy,
and Loran, for a girl.
L is a good initial to start, especially if they choose to use them later in life, like LBJ, L. O. Dolly, or L Cid. (Ok, the last two were for laughs, but LBJ was the President.)

You can always choose to carry on a family name. My dad's middle name is Paul, and so is mine. So we gave our first born son the middle name Paul. By coincidence his initials are the same as my dad's. We joke that he gets allmy dad's monogrammed stuff when he passes on. Our second son's middle name is the same as my father in law's middle name. Our daughter has my wife's and her mother's middle name. But we did goof on one aspect here…her initials. Shannon has two middle names, Marie and Enoul (the ancient family name). Our last name begins with 'L', so her initials are SMEL, we just call her Smelly.

Alright, I'm a dad !!!!!!
Have been for two weeks. This is raelly the first shot I had at some "down time",Jeez!!!A Demanding little bitch!!!) She's the best !!!!!
Amy Dru is her name. 10lbs. Healthy and demanding.
She is going to be very spoiled!!!
Especially after what happened in Fla. recently. It broke our hearts. (Amy was born on the day that little Carlie dissappeared) With all our joy,....we sat for a good 15 minutes , just looking at the babe.....thinking"How can we protect her ??
With people that care,.....That's how.
We(Kara and myself) are starting a foundation...."Us for U"....People, single, parents , devorced, whatever...just for kids. We'll do whatever,..for any KID foundation. Not just for one,...all for everyone!!!

I have to feed my daughter, and tell her A-Rod is coming !!!!!
