This poem is translated from the French, in French it rhymes (yes I'm French so I write in French)
In Iraq she went,
To defend her nation,
A truck she drove,
The wrong road she took,
Nasiriyah she found,
The ennmys' fires stopped her,
She escaped with a 4x4,
A rocket killed her friend.
A prisoner she has been,
By badly-shaved Iraqi,
At hospital she has seen,
A new world full of bearded men,
Iraqi doctors healed her,
For that we can thanks them.
One of them sped,
On his ambulance with the hidden prisoner,
The Americans shot,
Half-turning was obliged,
In her bed she waited,
For friends to be saved,
They arrived,
Breaking doors with their feet.
In Germany they drove her,
for the beginning of her new life,
The one of a heroine,
Who has lost her friend,
Certainly it belongs to the past,
But she can't forget.
