Just saw this via google: Lori's parents are organizing a reception and candlelight vigil to honor those who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan. The article from the online editon of the Arizona Republic says that there will also be a 507th reunion at the same event. "Former POWs Jessica Lynch, Shoshana Johnson, Joseph Hudson, and all the members of the 507th will attend." I'm sure everyone will be remembering the good times with Lori and the other KIAs, and coming to grips with the events of that March 23rd. The event is scheduled for this coming 23 March.

I reposted the link since I couldn't access the one posted.
However, your article covered most of the info.
This event is heartening. These type get-togethers do seem to help the healing process of suffering endured by victims and their families resulting from the horrors of war.
Keep us posted of any news report about the event.

This is very cool. These 507th members have become a "family" of sorts, and it's great to see them gather to remember and visit. GOD IS BLESSING THEM ALL . WE are blessed by them and their survivors, by their courage, and their love for each other.

I will; you can bet that the Phoenix TV stations will be covering it as well. If anyone manages to save any video, please let the rest of us know.

This reunion will be a very special time for the surviving members of the 507th, their families, and the familes and friends of those soldeirs who died in the attack. It will be a time filled with many different emotions and reflection for all who attend this event.

A new article on the memorial for Lori and the others who have died in Iraq and Afghanistan, from the Arizona Republic. Unfortunately, not all the former POWs can attend, but Jessica, Shoshana, Joe Hudson, and Pat Miller will be there. It also doesn't mention the reunion, but the original article did.

Again, if anyone follows this by looking at the Phoenix TV stations' sites, and they have video they are able to save, let the rest of us know!

Here's three stories about the memorial for Lori and the others; Jessica, Shoshana, Joe Hudson, and Pat Miller were there. It was too much for Pat Miller, as he didn't say a word, and watched the other speakers, until Lori's mom gave him a motherly hug and then he changed a little.

The story from KPHO has video-if anybody's able to save it, let the rest know-I tried and failed. If anyone has better luck, thanks in advance.

"One picture worth a thousand words."
The video captures the mood of the memorial gathering. The photos of Piestewa Peak are lovely, but haunting.
My admiration for Lori's mother and family continues to grow. Her efforts to bring the group together will help Lori's family, friends, and military companions to work through the grieving process.
Jessica looks great.
Thanks, Matt, for posting the links.

On this anniversary of the attack of the 507th. this years remembrance of Lori and her fallen comrads is especially difficult because the others who were held captive shared in their saddness together.
