Good for him!!!!! He deserves it!!!!
Rake it in, pal!!!He did an incredible thing. If people want to give him money for his story,TAKE IT!!HE RISKED HIS LIFE!!!
Ya know, there will be people out there that will say he did it just for himself. What he can get outta it.( Freedom, Outta there) Good. Smart move. But who cares!?!?!? He may have saved this girls life!!!!The important thing is the end result. Not the reason itself.

I dont see anything wrong with him writing the book.In fact..good for him I say.
Think about this for a minute. He fled his home town with nothing but the clothes on his back.He and his family are presently living on the charity of others with nothing to their names.
$500,000 will give his family a good start here in the U.S.
What he did wasnt done for money. But if writing about it lets him create some cash so he can provide for his family,I say go for it.
Besides it will let us know more about him and a first person view of Iraq during the war.
May God Bless you all

Indeed...it would be very interesting to delve into his background -- aside from his religious teachings -- and find just what shaped him that made him take the action he did to benefit a soldier from a country that was invading his home.
Actually...if a true movie or miniseries is made of this entire ordeal, that might be a good flashback technique...set up Jessica's background, Mohammed's, perhaps the other POWs and the KIAs (let's not sloght their experiences), and tie it all together at their respective rescues.
